Da Rules
Badges
Please display your badge prominently at all times. Only convention members and hotel staff should be in the programme area. Be aware that, in addition to our own gophers, there may be official hotel security staff on duty because of the River Festival.
Costumes and Weapons
Hall costumes are welcome at Satellite 2. Please ensure that any weapons worn as part of a costume are obviously replicas or toys, otherwise they will be confiscated for the duration of the convention.
Photography
You are welcome to take still photos at the convention but not video unless you have the prior permission of all persons in shot (and that applies even to those odd people in the background you didn't actually mean to film!). However, photography of the Art Show exhibits will not be allowed.
Posters and Leaflets
You are welcome to leave flyers for your convention or SF group in the dealers' room or convention bar areas but, please, not around the rest of the hotel. Similarly, please restrict posters etc. to the convention area and use only white tac (no blu tac, pins, sellotape, nail-guns etc.).
Behaviour
We want everyone to enjoy the convention... so please be considerate of other members. Anyone behaving in a disruptive manner will be asked to leave.
Children
Although Satellite 2 is aimed mainly at adult fans, children are welcome to attend. However, no crèche facilities are available and child members remain the responsibility of their parent or guardian at all times.
Mobile Phones
Please turn these off, or at least onto 'silent' mode, during programme items.
